Frequently Asked Questions

Kelli brings a smart look and feel to her work. In my case, she provided the guidance and assistance I needed to clean up my home and impart some order and style to a plain (and admittedly messy) living space. She is conscientious and professional, and will help apply some laser-like focus where needed!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Usually it depends on the project, This is especially true since no two projects are alike.. My goal is to provide quality service at a fair price to prospective clients. Factors include the extent of the project, square footage, are we using the client furniture or the stagers. Travel & having additional help for a project is also kept in mind.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process would be to view the property and, with their permission, to take photos and provide them with an in-depth report on decluttering and going through a checklist of items that need to be taken care of prior to putting their home on the market. Based on the consultation, I can do as much or as little as the client needs depending on the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an ASP certification / accreditation for home staging which also gives me an in-depth education on interior design, organization and making a home look its very best. Especially for the staging aspect, my job is to create less stress for a seller or a landlord looking to sell or rent their property and for more money.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have approximately 8 1/2 years in the home improvement business. Being very creative, I've always kept marketing and customer service in mind. This encouraged me to go out on my own and obtain my accreditation for home staging as well as the other services such as closet organizing, personal shopping, senior downsizing etc. I also have a gift for seeing any empty room and being able to know what goes where without using a tape measure.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with customers from all walks of life from a single parent to a real lady ( duchess) . The ability to get along with all types of people is a must.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How extensive will the project be? Will we have to cross refer on items outside that scope of work? No problem, if we agree to work together, I can refer some one who is reputable for the job at hand.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For staging it's best to have somebody who has an accreditation as it is a very extensive type of education. In Closet organization and home organization it really just requires that somebody have a good eye and be able to help the client see how they can best utilize every bit of space and make it as useful as possible. Not only that, but it needs to be done quickly since normally the client is working on a timetable.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Getting my own home ready for the market. This included 2 baths and a kitchen, flooring & painting renovation. Giving feedback during the staging process was invaluable towards getting my home sold quickly. The whole process because of the renovations, took about two months. Home Staging generally takes 1-2 days depending on the size of the property, furniture needed, and manpower used.
